Weekly Roundup

This week, Hiba Academy Nantong has made significant progress in academic competitions, administrative collaboration, and extracurricular activities. On March 16, our computer science team performed exceptionally well in the third round of the American Computer Science League (ACSL). Additionally, our high school pupils participated in a quiz competition with their counterparts from Wellington College in the UK, further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two schools.

Our Spotlight this week is the Government Affairs Department. Ms. Selina Shen, who is the manager of the departmentmaintainsan average 20 interactions each month with varies government bodies. In 2024, she efficiently completed seven major reception tasks and collaborated with the Suxitong Environmental Protection Bureau to plan a practice course for Earth Day along the river, thereby enhancing the pupils' awareness of sustainable development at Hiba Academy Nantong.

Shout out this week goes to the school’s swimming team! Continues its rigorous training schedule of three sessions per week. Currently, 25 team members are undergoing physical fitness training and honing their skills to prepare for upcoming competitions.

Looking ahead to next week, our Grade 11 pupils will continue their A-Level exams. We will also start mid-term assessments in Science and Maths. In addition, we will host IT workshops for parents, and the U15 boys' football team will have an exciting match. The Nanjing Education Bureau will also pay us a visit, and there will be several parent information sharing sessions about outdoor adventure trips for different grades. I encourage all parents to actively participate in these events.

Furthermore, to promote the understanding of diverse cultures, the Western food counter in Hiba Academy Nantong's dining hall will transform into a Middle Eastern fiester, starting March 27.We look forward to welcoming our pupils and parents to enjoy this culinary and cultural feast together.
