Weekly Roundup

10 Mar 2025

The campus this spring blossoms with the fragrance of books and laughter, woven into a vibrant tapestry of learning. Wednesday’s Red Alert Drill reinforced our safety protocols with meticulous practice, while the collaborative dialogues between class representatives and Friends of Hiba further strengthened the bridge between home and school. Our faculty gathered to chart strategic visions, transforming educational passion into guiding beacons for the future. The highlight for our pupils was undoubtedly Book Week—a magical portal to fantastical worlds. From unraveling mysteries with guest readers to crafting imaginative book covers and embarking on literary treasure hunts, the week culminated in a dazzling Dress-up Day, where young literary spirits brought stories to life, painting the campus with the colors of childhood wonder.

Our finance team, like master watchmakers, fine-tunes every educational investment through precise financial modeling, ensuring optimal resource allocation. Academic excellence shone brightly at the American Mathematics Competition, where pupils Leven from Grade 6, Iverson from Grade 5, Shen from Grade 3, and Yimi from Grade 6 demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills. A special ovation goes to Grade 8 pupil Jojo, whose perfect score etched a legendary chapter. Meanwhile, Grade 7 pupil Olof embodied the Hiba value of Respect—his daily heartfelt greetings to librarians and focused self-study habits quietly nurtured the roots of courtesy in everyday life.

Looking ahead, our annual review will commence, inviting independent experts to validate how our commitments translate into practice. On Tuesday, senior pupils will explore future pathways at the Shanghai University Fair, while Nursery parents are invited to next Wednesday’s Back-to-School Day, offering a glimpse into their children’s imaginative learning journeys through hands-on classroom experiences.

What a wonderful week! Look forward to seeing you again next week.
